Join us as we take up residence in the atmospheric surroundings of the historic Masson Mills with an exciting evening of entertainment showcasing the very best of what Derbyshire has to offer.

As a charity, the team at Arts Derbyshire is constantly seeking fundraising options to help us continue our work in the county, supporting artists, makers and performers to help them thrive. We wanted to run a fundraiser event this year – our first ever! – and so what better way to do this than using our fundraising event as a vehicle to showcase some of the amazing talent in the county at the same time?
On the 25th of April, we will be taking up residence in the atmospheric surroundings of the historic Masson Mills in Cromford, where a tour of the building can be added to the evening’s exciting programme (see below).
We are putting on an evening of entertainment with an art sale and exhibition, music, dance, spoken word and street food… and a raffle!
Confirmed Acts
the raindogs bring their eclectic mix of covers and originals, uplifting, melodious and melancholic in equal measure. Sublime vocals are supported by a heady mix of drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, all topped off sumptuous three part harmonies (and an occasional glockenspiel solo). From Neil Young to Nick Cave, from Tom Waits to The Doors, from Elbow to The Beatles.

Mark Gwynne Jones, winner of 4 festival fringe awards for Best Spoken Word, has published 5 collections of poetry and appeared in numerous anthologies.

‘I always stipulate that whoever’s on with me hasn’t got to be any good. This one got past me. I don’t know how but heads will roll!’ John Cooper Clarke

Mairead Rutter O’Connor, a Leeds-based dance artist and choreographer, will be joined by Jacob Phillips, Hannah Davidson and Kaia Thowsen. The group will be taking the audience to another world where possibilities are shifted. Find out what mind-boggling fun Mairead has in store for us!
