A series of workshops celebrating the Women Who Make Festival in partnership with Derbyshire Makes.
Create a mill worker’s outfit using fabrics woven on heritage looms at Masson Mills. Inspired by mannequins created for the Standing In This Place exhibition by Rachel Carter and the Legacy Makers. The workshop will be held in the 1783 mill building alongside the Standing In This Place exhibition. Create the garments with Lucy’s guidance and dress your own mini wooden mannequin.
The photographs show an example of the garments that can be made- alternative designs and styles are welcome.
The Masson Mills Visitor Centre serves a range of hot & cold drinks and cakes, traybakes, teacakes, scones & pasties from The Bakewell Bakery and soups. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch.
